Meet Leila

  Leila Hazou lives in Pike County and is a small business owner in Milford, PA. Due to the current state of our democracy, politics, and environment, Leila is prompted to run for office. Also, as a Palestinian woman, she can no longer sit idly by and witness her country openly support the ongoing oppression funded by U.S. taxpayers.

     She received her undergraduate degree from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and attended graduate school in Baltimore, Boston and New York, receiving her MBA from Loyola College in 2005. Her career led her to become a project manager in a large investment firm in New York City.

     During her years in New York, she met and married her husband who she convinced to move out to the Poconos in 2016 where they currently reside with their two dogs and three cats, two crested geckos.

     Leila longed for a more peaceful existence in the woods and left her corporate confines to the next stage of her life. Leila opened her small soap and candle shop in Milford in January of 2023 and continues to work on building her business. 

     If elected, she will proudly defend human rights in Pennsylvania and around the world.
